Press Release 2019 - 2020
FALL WINTER 2019/2020
The tradition and the history of a product are the added values of a Company.
The Fall/Winter 2019 - 2020 collection is inspired by the re-discovery of our historical archives.
Old hand-made colour cards, yarn scraps and sketched notes on yellowed photographs tell our story; an amazing heritage of the experience gained in over 100 years of our Company’s history.
The reinterpretation of our past and the close relationship with the territory influence the substance of our work, enhance the creativity and give the product a contemporary shape.
Metamorphosis of a yarn from the solidity of the past through the certainty of the present to the technology of the future.
New ideas, imaginative solutions, flexibility and tradition can be found in all the 60 yarns that make up the two different lines of the collection, Accademia and Industria.
Mohairs, manufactured in full respect of people and animals have a rather evident brushed look, both firm or stretch & comfort, in solid, mélange or chanteclair colours.
The alpaca range offers either pure or blended with wool, always enveloping like a warm embrace, reassuring and classic.
A new very successful blend, required by the market, is made of alpaca and mohair in different yarn aspects and gauges, solid and printed.
The wool structures are bouclé and then brushed, or round and airy for machine 3, whereas the weights are very light even when the yarns have a considerable volume.
The key concept of lightness is now applied to all yarns in their different variations and this is why the choice in the AIRY variety is so wide-ranging.
The micro sequins tied with opaque lurex thread become more evident when they are multicolour.
Metallic threads, knots and lurex bring us back to the eccentric 1980’s style.
